Amid the current pandemic, the undergraduate market across the country has reached a point where online tools are the only ones in the admissions toolbox. The pandemic has increased enrollment professionals’ reliance on email communication. But how do you design effective email campaigns for a generation of prospective students who increasingly stay away from their email accounts? You make your messaging direct, practical and time sensitive. In this session, we will discuss how to use email marketing to increase identified visitors and online engagement as well as promote a prospect’s next step in their college decision process.

As online engagement rises in prominence as a standard way for students to engage with institutions, it’s critical to ensure you are aligning the goals of your institution with your available tools and software. Leveraging your CRM is standard practice for a successful admissions staff. However, a CRM alone is not going to fill your class. During this session, PlatformQ will show you how to find success during these uncertain times by:

Predictive models are a foundation for the duties of all enrollment professionals — from financial aid distribution to implementing yield strategies. The pandemic adds another variable for us to work with and reaffirms why we must continue to revise and use data models. In this session, we will journey through Capture’s predictive models — APPLY, AID and ENROLL — to see how hundreds of variables and multiple algorithms can be paired with historical and behavioral data to predict who will apply and who will enroll with unrivaled accuracy, giving you the information you need to make your class … even in uncertain times.

In November 2019, over 40% of institutions were moving to test optional. This trend escalated in Spring 2020 as standardized test dates were cancelled, reducing the number of prospects that could be reached through traditional search marketing. On May 21, the University of California voted to abandon the SAT and ACT as a condition for admissions. This decision sets a precedent for other institutions and will result in even fewer prospects being available through traditional search marketing.
In May 2020, PLEXUSS research revealed COVID-19 will impact the decisions made by 46% of high school seniors to enroll in the fall. Combating these changes is the basis of PLEXUSS’s June survey uncovering new data, implications and practical recommendations on the new normal in student recruitment, including:
