In the shadow of the famed Ryman Auditorium, Nashville's Lower Broadway is probably best known for its many music- and tourism-related businesses. Known as "Lower Broad," this section of town for decades has attracted music fans to its many honky honk bars.

The area originally was home to several furniture and hardware stores, which played a key role in the city’s economy in the late nineteenth-century. Many have been converted into the restaurants, bars, and businesses that cater to locals and tourists alike.
